Thermoluminescent dosimetry products are often part of a complete monitoring workflow. A detector chip, badge holder, ring dosimeter, eye lens dosimeter or reader system must match the customer's application, existing reader, handling method and documentation requirements. Providing the right information at the beginning helps the supplier prepare a realistic quotation and avoids compatibility problems after delivery.
1. Tell us the application
Start by describing how the product will be used. For example, tell us whether the requirement is for routine whole-body personal monitoring, finger dose monitoring, wrist or extremity monitoring, eye lens dose monitoring, environmental monitoring, neutron-gamma mixed-field dosimetry or a complete TLD laboratory project.
The application determines whether the quotation should focus on badge holders, sealed badges, ring dosimeters, detector chips, barcode holders, a reader system or a complete laboratory package.
2. Confirm the product type
Please specify the product type as clearly as possible. If you are not sure, describe the use case and attach a photo of the current item.
- TLD detector chips only
- Personal TLD badge or holder
- Ring TLD dosimeter
- Wrist TLD dosimeter
- Eye lens TLD dosimeter
- Barcode-ready holder or service workflow badge
- Automatic TLD reader or complete laboratory system
3. Share the existing TLD reader model
If you already use a TLD reader, the reader model is one of the most important details. Please provide the reader manufacturer and model, such as Harshaw, Panasonic, RADCARD or another system. Detector dimensions, holder structure and readout workflow may differ between systems.
Compatibility note: we should not claim compatibility with Harshaw, Panasonic, RADCARD or any other reader system until the physical configuration and readout method are confirmed.
4. Specify detector material and dimensions
For detector chips or complete dosimeters, please confirm the detector material and size. Common requirements include LiF(Mg,Ti), LiF(Mg,Cu,P), GR-200 series chips, or neutron-sensitive and gamma-reference detector pairs such as 6LiF / 7LiF configurations.
Useful details include chip diameter, thickness, shape, sensitivity or dispersion grade, number of detector elements per holder and whether custom formats are required.
5. Provide quantity and configuration
A quotation for 20 units is different from a quotation for 2,000 units. Please provide the required quantity and whether you need holders only, chips only or complete dosimeter sets with detector chips included.
For laboratory projects, also provide the expected number of monitored workers or dosimeters per month. This helps determine reader capacity, badge quantity, annealing workflow, software needs and training scope.
6. List required certificates and documents
Different customers need different documentation. Before quoting, please tell us whether you need datasheets, batch QC reports, certificates of conformity, calibration-related documents, country of origin, manufacturer information, packing list, HS code or tender-specific technical literature.
7. Give delivery and commercial details
Freight cost and delivery time depend on destination and shipping terms. Please provide the delivery country, city, preferred Incoterm and any deadline for tender submission or project delivery.
- Delivery country and city
- Preferred Incoterm: EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP or others
- Required delivery deadline
- Preferred payment terms, if specified by the buyer
8. Attach photos or reference models when available
If you are replacing an existing badge, card, ring, detector chip or holder, photos are very helpful. Please include front and back views, dimensions and any printed model numbers. For equivalent replacement enquiries, tell us whether equivalent products are acceptable or whether the original brand is mandatory.
